Really Random James

This is a completely random and in no order James photos. Pulling off some images that were on Nick's computer that I never posted on the site before. I think these go back as far as September so pre-haircut.

Trick or Treat - overload!

Happy Halloween. Thursday night we took James trick-or-treating over at Jim and B's Columbus house. James was a very cute Fozzie the Bear and even managed to have the hat stay on his head - but not clasped. Mimi and Poppa were able to go around to a few houses with us. Due to the cold there were very few trick-or-treaters so James did not get to see very many other costumes. He has enjoyed carrying around his pumpkin and collecting random items around the house. And now time for photo overload.

James' 18 Month Birthday - a little late

First thing first, James' Hair cut. On his 18 month birthday we marked the occasion with James' first hair cut.

Here is the before photo. With blond locks like that, why would you want to cut it? But I guess it was getting in his face and looked a little like Nick Nolte in the back.
We went to Cookie Cutters and got the First Hair Cut Package (extra $2 gave you a certificate, photo and locks of his hair). James was very good in the stylist's chair, despite the attitude in this photo.

When it started to get a little rough, they were prepared with a balloon. The final cuts went smoothly.

Ok, maybe not the best after photo, but it looked good with the shorter bangs. Nick has since gone back and trimmed up the back since it was a little long still after the cut.

The 18th Month birthday also included a birthday cupcake. He liked cupcakes much more now than at his 1 year birthday. Over all it was a great 18th month birthday for James.

The Hair Cut

So for James 18 month birthday we decided to get his hair cut. I have much better photos of the whole before, during and after on my camera, but here is a quick photo Anne took later that day. Cookie Cutters is not on the cutting edge of kids hair fashions, but he does look very cute. Plus he got a balloon for being so good, so overall a great 18 month birthday.

Weekend (part 2)

We found the other camera! It was left in Defiance, but has made it back. Here are the other photos from this weekend.

Quick photo on our way out from watching the Blue Jackets play

What is better than hockey - balloons. Lots of them.

Could almost take this one with us.

Might need one of these for James' next birthday party. He loved it.

At the old one room school house.

At the school house - no dunce hat but they still have the stool.

Walking with Dad and Grandpa

Another view of the boys.

Waiting for the Train ride.

Three quick photos

Ok, So we left the other camera in my Dad's car so it will be while before I get the rest of the photos up. Here are three quick photos that Nick took with his phone from Sauder's Village.

This was an Ox that we were all amazed with. The picture does not do his size justice. He was HUGE.
There were two things I wanted to do at Sauders. Take James' photo with the dunce hat in the one room school (like Anne and I did) and ride the train. Well, they no longer have the dunce hat, and they got a new train that is not as great ad the old one. Oh well, James loved it so that is all that matters.

Of course we had to stop and pet the horse, he was very sweet. Not sure if James is as much as a fan as I was.

Big Weekend - Part one (and out of order)

We had a very big weekend. First we hit Blue Jackets training day to catch the team at practice then we headed up to Defiance for Sauder's Village and visiting with friends and family. Half of the weekend was taken on Nick's camera, the other on mine. This will need to be a two part series since I need to go find Nick's for the rest of the images.

Here is James with my oldest friend Julie's son, Will. It was so much fun to watching the two boys play together just like Julie and I used to. We will need to get them together much more often.
Playing Hide and Seek behind the door.

Going in for the hug. so cute!

Laughing over in the kitchen together.

Playing butt to butt.

The family got together on Sunday to celebrate my Grandma's 88th birthday and the only photo I got was of James and Sydney. Syd was so wonderful with James. She feed him, played with him and just watched out for him. Wish I remembered to get more photos, but was too distracted with catching up.

This is breakfast at Cosmo's in Defiance before heading to Perrysburg. The food was really good, and James was a clean plate eater.

James on the slide

James suprised Anne and me this weekend on his no fear of the slide. He climbed up on his own, sat down and pushed off. At this attempt Anne captured, James wanted to mix it up and tried going down on his tummy.

Other than the slide we had a nice relaxing weekend. James now enjoys climbing the chairs to stand on the dinning room table. He is getting more and more daring each day.

James and Digby

On Sunday night, Jen and Todd brought Digby over for our Labor Day cook out. James found his new best friend. Nick has a lot more photos on his camera, I just pulled a few quick ones.
