3 months of Charlotte

I promise that Charlotte gets just as much love as James, and about 1/3 the amount of photos which is good. With those fewer photos I am being thoughtful to catch specific moments. Every month birthday I have taken Charlotte's photo in the same outfit and same background. The plan is to have a very long print made of Charlotte made over the first 12 months of her life... Here is her progression after the first three. I love these so much, I think I am going to have a professional edit them for me since I think it will be something I cherish forever.  (I know my lighting does not match across the photos, I did this quickly today as a proof of concept. Yep it is adorable!)

Charlotte Rose

It is well over two weeks overdue, but please meet Miss Charlotte Rose McCullough

Born 10/19/12
5:46 PM
7 lb 13 oz
19.5 inches long

The Pirate towel is to make her brother happy.

James has been a wonderful big brother and has taken to his role as his sister's entertainment. He also sings Soft Kitty when she is up set to calm her down.

did not realize until after Halloween the relation to Charlotte's Web and our Charlotte's costume. Too cute.

An amazing Ninjago Kai was prowling the street with his best bud, Superman. Hard to believe this was James' 4th Halloween costume.

Other than that all is good here. The second is easier to recuperate from, but harder to get back to normal life when you are entertaining for two all day. Will keep everyone posted with more photos of the family.

7,6,5 and 4 days until Nick Returns

So forgot to post a few days, or actually was too tired to get on the computer and post so here is a recap of items done since Friday:

Silly Shoes, I see why we needed to keep two foam fingers.

Went to see "The Pirates" at the drexel, miss read the ad and only ones dressed as pirates. Oh well.

Ice cream treat after the movie.

Saturday we went to Larson toys to pick out $10 of new Playmobil toys. Here is James' loot.

Funny masks at pier one next door.

Lunch as Sonics and then later that evening we had dinner with Fraunt and Funcle at Longhorn, but forgot to take a photo.

Sunday: we went to visit Digby, Barkley and Augie (forgot photos), Then visited a new playground, hit the library again and then grocery store.

Got home for some bounce house fun down with Brady.

Then watched a movie in the den with all the special treats.

Movie treats did not kill appetite for dinner, pasta!

Monday: Long drive down to IKEA for Swedish meatballs and shopping. Attempted to visit the animal farm/nursery but it was closed. And skipped the outlet mall playground since James was sleeping by this point. Then home to play pirates, play with Brady again and TBD for the rest of the night.

So far we have managed something "special" each day. I am exhausted by the end of the day and happy to chill in bed watch Ninjago for the 20th time.

8 Days until Nick returns

So today was our third full day with no Nick, and so far so good. With the rain in the morning we planned on a at home movie day, but when noticed it was then sunny and not as hot flipped the plans and headed to the zoo.

A very happy James on the ride to the zoo.

So we hit the required visiting areas; aquarium, manatees, snakes then off two North America.

There is Jungle Jack and James at the wheel.

First time we rode the train, about what you expect for $1 but James liked it.

Snack break before what was going to be the highlight of the trip.

Pony Ride, We are not sure the pony's name but going with Charlie. I think he got his mom's horse love.

I don't remember the last time this has happened, fell asleep on the ride home. And that was only a 2 hour Zoo visit. It was still too hot for mama.

Final activity of the night, Dinner at the restaurant that Nick cannot eat at - Piada's. We know now the difference between Piada and Pinata.

Sure Nick is eating really amazing food, but this was yummy.

So we have a special activity for tomorrow that I heard about the beginning of the summer. I just hope he has fun, but odds are he will love it.

9 Days until Nick Returns

So today was a busy and full day. Here is what we did:

Before the day began, sleeping peacefully.

Breakfast at Bob Evans, yes dipping the whipped cream into our syrup

Went to the closing of B and Papa's new property. I think someone will have a lot of fun playing out there in a few years.

Went to the fish store to visit with all the cool fish and Nemos. Also picked out a new toy for our pet Nemo.

After some errands for mommy, a break at Starbucks.

A special new toy with our free $10 Kohls gift card, will never understand how they price stuff there.

Dinner at Chick-Fil-A, followed by some time in the play area.

Chocolate Cupcake for dessert, and now watching the new episode of Ningajo.

It was a fun day and so far we are all still sane. Not sure yet what we will do tomorrow, I have a jar filled with activities that James can pick out from each day. Tomorrow will be the first day without any requirements so we will see what he picks. And yes James, I have kept all doors locked at night and have watered the plants.

10 days till Nick Returns

So with Nick gone for 10 days, James and I are finding fun ways to fill our time. Each day will be something different and exciting, so we kicked off day one with the following:

iPad cartoons while mom got ready

Tim Horton's for Donuts and breakfast (no photo)
Library for some playing and books

Baby Doctor to checkup on baby Hazelnut

The Farm to play with Mimi and Papa (no photo)

Back home to play for a bit (blurry because we are jumping)

Jim and B's for dinner which included his favorite food Bacon.

Then sword fighting, Shrek hunting, ice cream and back home for some Ninjago and bed.

We survived the first day, and we shall see what kind of trouble day number two brings to us.
