Lions, Tigers and Bears

Terri and Karl got Nick a Zoo Family pass for Father's Day and this morning we made our first trip. Aunt Anne and Uncle Bryan met us at the zoo to be our tour guides. James had a wonderful time, and was alert and aware of all the animals. Not once did he get fussy or upset.

That is a BIG tiger!

After 2.5 hours at the zoo, we were pushing the limits for eating and napping. I fed James in the zoo parking lot and we headed home. As we left the parking lot James was playing with his car seat toys and kicking away. The next minute I looked over and he was passed out.

In this photo you can see he fell asleep with one had on this foot, the other on his toy. The zoo is one way to make a very tired baby.

Lunch outting

James spent his lunch today at the park with Aunt Anne. I had a quick meeting at work so Anne took James down to the park in his sling and brought back a sleeping baby. I hope both had a good time and thanks Anne!!

My Aunt Anne and UB

Dear Aunt Anne and Uncle Bryan,
I am sorry my mom has not shared photos of us together. She is very sorry, and here is a whole post dedicated to our 4 plus months together.
Love, James.

One day old.

Mother's Day.

Father's Day

At almost 4 months.

Random Photos

Here are some random photos of James. I owe Anne and Bryan a dedicated post of photos, which I promise will come soon.

James decided to dress up like his grandpa -

James loves his toys now. Here are some of his favorites (because he can place them in his mouth).

This is just a funny photo of James in the car seat, I must have surprised him.

Wonderful Photo

Tuesday night, Nick's cousin Judy was taking photos for the business. James and I visited and Judy snapped this wonderful photo of James. Now that is a wonderful photo. Thank you Judy.

Sleeping Baby

When James was tiny, he slept for the most part on our tummy's. Many nights were spent sleeping on the couch with James asleep on my chest. Now that we have him transitioned to sleeping in his pack'n play (and on his back), he never wants to sleep on his or our tummy.
On Friday, he was a little crabby still from his shots and did not want to take a nap, so by 4:00 pm he was so tired that he passed out on my chest. I forgot how much I missed that, and how hot he gets. I was able to transition him to the couch and snap a few photos. (Don't worry, I did not leave him alone while on his stomach)

4 month check up

James had his 4 month check up today.
STATS:
Weight - 12lbs 14oz
Height - 25 inches
He also got his 4 month shots, which produced a scream that I have never heard before. Poor little guy. After his appointment we met up with Nick at Polaris and had some fun photos taken to send to Grandma Rohrs to help her feel better.

4 months or 17 weeks, 4 days

It is really hard to believe James is at the 4 month mark. I try to remember on the 9th of every month to take lots and lots of photos so we can see how he changes. Not on purpose I always take the photos on his crazy quilt outside (best lighting). Next month I will need to remember to mix things up. Here are some of the highlights of today's photo shoot.

The standard laying down on his blanket.

Tummy time. He is getting so much better at being on his tummy. One side affect is that amount of drool that accompanies it. You can see a perfect drop in this one.

Sitting in his Bumpo with Bee. James is grabbing and holding his toys now.

Super James.

James with his dog. I really want this to be his comfort toy. We will see.

Alright. These photos were taken last week, but I just got off the camera. We were laughing at him which then caused him to start laughing too.

Friar Tuck

In four months James' hair has gone through quite a few styles. Slowing he is losing all his brown newborn hair and it is being replaced by new blond hair, well almost all his dark hair.

I am sure this too will start to fall out, but until then he will be affectionately known as Friar Tuck.
